TimKeymasterOver on our twitter feed (https://twitter.com/shootuporputup) I was idly trolling and suggested we replace the A1C test by getting doctors to simply assign you a random number between 1-10 and tell you to “do better”? Do you think this would save both doctors and patients a lot of time fiddling around with complex tests and what-not?

TimKeymasterI’ve only ever met one consultant with a personality (and he wasn’t a diabetes consultant, it was in an entirely different part of the hospital) so I think telling consultants not to reprimand for pizza-eating is a lost cause.
And also Dave’s blog (linky above) is worth a read!

AlisonKeymasterI tell my consultant what level I’m happy with, based on a getting the balance right between health and quality of life. I listen to his opinion on the matter, but consider it to be mostly irrelevant

Inactive@seasiderdave I reread it two days latter & wondered what I’d read the first time …
I still haven’t worked it our, I think when I read it the first time I may have needed a cookie!
