(For the guys) Give me a Mars bar and I’ll be up all night? (OK not so funny but my DSN thought it was when she told me …..)

Some unisex ones: “So nice to see you standing on your own two feet” and “I’ve got eyes & kidneys only for you”

Then there’s “You can put your p…en/ump in my p…ocket”, that can be rephrased as “Can I put my p…en/ump in your p…ocket?” depending on who’s diabetic and who’s got the pen/pump/pocket

Don’t greet him/her with “Hi!” or “‘lo!” – rather hold out your hand and say “Take 5!” (sounds American & breakish, but in terms of mmol/l, it hits the mark)
