      I know that most of us are pancreatically-challenged but the blog can sometimes be a bit challenged too. Sigh.

      What would be the electronic equivalent of over-zealous T-cells? Or maybe the server is hypoglycaemic and you should drizzle it with Lucozade…

      Drizzling a hot server with lucozade sounds like a grand idea. I’ll try that next time!

      I also see you’re posting slightly less anonymously – a first name, eh? :-)

      It’s fancy French for “lot of hot air”. And Ckoei is extremely nonymous (and diabetically fitting) if your Kitchen Dutch is up to scratch!

      Just wondering if I am right in thinking that there is a get together happening this weekend? (details of which have been lost in the technical meltdown?!)

      Did the server go hypo then?

      @teloz – it certainly did. Something kept corrupting the database that runs the whole thing. What a pain.

      What problems did you have creating an account? Oh, and how are you BTW? :-)

      If anyone cares, I’m now re-doing from scratch the glossary and links pages. I’d forgotton quite how boring they were to do.

      You could apply to Dogs for Diabetics to present you with a Rhodesian Ridgeback (a ;

      Mmm…backups, now there’s an idea!

      @Tim. I can’t believe you didn’t have any backups Tim, I thought you were an IT guru!

      I’m fine thanks, had another brief spell in hospital with a suspected thrombosis in my leg, but now got the all clear and feeling fitter than I did before the heart attack! More exercise = less insulin; good eh? ;-)

      PS: Reactivating my account. I had a problem with my user name, I originally created it with a capital T, but it now has to be all lower case. Every time I tried to sign on my old user name kept reappearing and was rejected even after deleting the cookie. In the end I had to wait for the “Activate Your Account” email and it’s worked ever since.

      @teloz – it’s actually a brand new blog and database with an import of the old articles and comments. Hence your old account not working. The user name thing is a bit annoying in that is doesn’t tell you it’s got to be lower case, etc., I’ll see if I can make the instructions more explicit.

      I keep a weekly backup of the blog, but there doens’t seem to be an easy way of backing up the forums. Bah!
