Laurie – a Specialist Dietitian for NHS Lothian – is looking for some geeky help and where better to start than at your soaraway Shoot Up?

Laurie says that “as a health board, NHS Lothian would like to be able to provide patients with some guidance on the best, most user friendly free apps on the market that will help to manage their diabetes, without each person having to try them all to find their favourite.

“So I am looking for some willing volunteers to test up to five different free apps for two weeks and give some expert patient/carer feedback on how you found them. All you will need is a smart phone (e.g. iphone, Blackberry, Android etc) and I will provide you with the list of apps to try, then a link to an online survey to give your feedback. There will be no cost involved in using these apps.

“The outcome will be a shortlist of the best apps that we can signpost other patients or carers to.”

If you would like to help they Laurie would love to hear from you – you can email her at laurie.eyles@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or call her on 0131 537 9514 (Mon-Wed only).

Go to it Shoot Up geeks!!
