      If you were dictatorially and exclusively in charge of diabetes research for a decade (no short-termism here!) what would you concentrate on?

      I think I would put some effort into finding a way of combining a really accurate CGM and a really accurate pump.

      @mike – coo! Technology to the rescue!

      Problem is, though, that even if a feasible artificial pancreas could be made it would take 10 years for it to be available on the NHS and there would be a three year waiting list. And I’ll be 106 in 13 years time!
