TimKeymasterWe try to make a feature on your soaraway Shoot Up of being positive about diabetes. it may be difficult sometimes but – surely – you must be able to think of some good points about having a failed pancreas too?

ParticipantJust discovered another benefit – when someone I don’t want to talk to comes near, taking my pump out to press buttons on works even better than taking my insulin pens out used to be for making them change their minds about how much they wanted to talk to me…

ParticipantMy Dad used to use me as an excuse to get faster service in restaurants
Even got money off our bill once for me going hypo (which I was doing) because they were too slow. Highly embarrasing, but effective. -

InactiveWe got upgraded to a roof top apartment in an Italian Hotel by my future step-mother because of my diabetes????. Now she has it too! Holiday good though.
