      I know this the most controversial issue of diabetes raging today. Do you think Best & Collip wuz robbed?

      Don’t know about Collip, but lets face it, ‘everyone’ knows insulin was discovered by Banting and Best. Very few non-diabetics would know who Macleod was. So as they all actually got the money anyway, and Best got way more fame than Macleod, really its only Collip has been hard done by. (Oh, and maybe Paulescu. See, I did read it!)

      Aye, but Macleod was Scottish and so gets extra points. And Paulescu was an old fraud. ;-)

      I think the dog (What was its name?) should have the prize. What do you say Neville?

      I think she was called Margorie or something similar. I remember quizing my DSN about it when I first diagnosed – I asked *a lot* of questions!

      Just checked Bliss and the very first dog was the charmingly names “Dog 92” but I’m sure there was another that lived for longer.
