Just found this lurking behind the scenes from @Don172 – reposting here so people can actually see it:

Had a very informative and useful introductory meeting with several other prospective pumpers at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Monday afternoon. We got to play with the basic features of the pump, ask questions, and take delivery of a substantial amount of paperwork after signing a contract promising we would take the whole thing seriously, turn up for appointments and not gorge ourselves on copious quantities of macaroon and tablet without bolusing. I’ve selected a rather natty dark blue colour for my pump which I’ll be given in March (although it remains the property of the Lothian NHS). Sure I’ll be online here asking lots of questions. Can’t wait to get started – it’s going to feel really weird after 23 years of injecting, not having to stick a needle into my squashy bits after every meal….
