FreeStyle Lite batteries

Anyone uses a FreeStyle Lite glucose meter? I’ve bought mine just before Eastern, as I really couldn’t produce the blood sample my AccuCheck  Nano needed. The test strip is the best I’ve ever tried and  the nightlight is great when checking for my dawn effect (big thanks for Tim for the reviews on it.) But I am through my second battery in just a month. And the meter doesn’t give too much warning either, just shows the battery sign once for 2-3 secs, than switches off. Anyone had the same problem with it? Is it because I use the nightlight once every night? Or shall I just return it while I still can?

Hmm, sounds like a dodgy meter – I’ve only replaced the battery on mine once in about 4-5 years or so.
