Having just received a new contact lens to replace my own lens, I have now got improved sight in my one seeing eye (cheers retinopathy/cataracts). I am amazed to see that the picture on the Shoot Up home page is not as I thought 2 wine bottles, one upright with a label and the other empty on its side but in fact 2 syringe needles! All is becoming clear, I assumed the ‘wine bottles’ represented the lighter side of diabetes!

Right, off to see what else I have been missing /imagining with my distorted threadbare retina and opaque lens.

Welcome to a whole new world @megs – sorry if we’re a bit of a disappointment now, I’d be gutted to look in my cupboard and discover what I thought were wine bottles were actually pen needles!

Golly! Maybe we should replace it with some pictures of wine bottles (port, actually, is the official Shoot Up drink). Glad to hear you sight is better @megs!

Not a disappointment although a little disturbing as I can almost make out your faces now!! Off to check my wine rack for any infusion sets I may have stored there.

I guess Port is the perfect response to a potential hypo although I once was given a Barcardi Breezer on my return from a run when it was spotted that I might be a bit low……it was rehydrating, refreshing and quite a jolly pick me up! I highly recommend it.
