TimKeymasterFor fans of ill-conceived and factually incorrect articles about diabetes, I present:
Can you avoid diabetes?
http://www.thedailysound.com/News/021611-SANTA-BARBARA-DIABETESMy favourite bit:
“Diabetes was just about obsolete 150 yrs ago. It was very rare to find someone who had the disease, type 1 or type 2.” This was mainly because they were dead.

lizzParticipantEr, no. I have no idea what the double-entendre meaning of ‘to palm’ would be except to palm something off on someone pretending it is of more value than it is. I have double-entendred with the best heretofore but for now Teloz keeps his crown.
I am merely a Trekkie. Or Trekker. I have been to conventions. I have the Jean-Luc teddy (BEAR). I hanker after Worf and Data and Jean-Luc Picard.

“I quickly scanned the article without giving it a thorough proofreading and I understand that some of the issues I addressed were misleading.”
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story Bob!!

lizzParticipantWell, I don’t agree, i think it’s rather an artificial distinction, and actually, people don’t even agree on the distinctions. I was a fan of the first and very series since, I DO and have been to conventions, but I am also fascinated by the Roddenbury projections of scientific fact/fiction. I would LOVE a piece of memorabilia, but also have the books which explain the science and schematics of the ships etc.
