The Roman Rumble

Avid readers of your very own soaraway Shoot Up won’t failed to have seen our interview with one of the founders of the brilliant Pendsey Trust. We thought it was such a great cause that I and my chum Stephan decided to cycle alongside Hadrian’s Wall dressed as Romans in a Shoot Up first – actually trying to raise money for charity.

It may all go horribly wrong. We may discover we’re not even slightly fit enough, we may discover cycling while dressed as a Roman is just a stupid idea, we may find out that Romans never owned bicycles after all. But, whatever, you can follow our progress – no matter how feeble – here on Shoot Up.

If you want to find out more about our challenge, The Pendsey Trust and how to donate then check out our brand new charity page.

Thanks Alison. Training has gone badly thus far – Saturday I got a puncture after hitting a draining thingy while on a very lethal downhill. Sunday – I fell off in a very unpleasant, festering, cow-poo-filled muddy puddle.

Maybe I should just get better at off-road biking…

All the best for this @tim. Which part of your toga are you going to attach your pump to?

      I’m not wearing a toga – can you not tell I’m a gladiator? 😉
