      Which, if true, suggests that our understanding of how the body works is really badly wrong. I’m kinda hoping it’s true! :)

      Hmmm… but insulin has other roles than just keeping blood sugar regulated. Including things like like nerve transmitters and laying down fat… without insulin I don’t think your body can do that.

      @LIzz – Yeah, I was trying to think of the other roles insulin has, but couldn’t think of any! Though I think I’m right in remembering that it is actually also used in glucose RELEASE as well as storage?
