You should offer to test the fake’s blood – that’ll shut them up! Or prove they have ‘hypoglycaemia’, which is (also) a separate medical condition – my uncle has it. Means a non-D person can go hypo randomly, which I had never heard of, and didn’t know my uncle had, until I was diagnosed… (If I remember right, maybe I should google BEFORE posting? Nah, sod it :P )

That said, I used to get ‘hypos’ before I was diagnosed (not that I knew what they were). And I mean years before. But only if I was understandably short on energy – after trying to do too much with out lunch or something. Being the slim-whatever-I-eat body type, I suspect it’s a lot easier to burn through reserves…
