Thankfully I can still feel my feet, so I treat all those recommendations about walking barefoot and only ever buying footwear from those adverts at the back of the RadioTimes that come with a with a Certificate of Medicinal Sensibleness as being meant for someone else entirely. The only socks I wear without elastic are the ones I’ve had for so long that they’ve gone all baggy at the tops.
