I did the first month just washing my hands & infusion site, the last month I’ve used a sterets swab to clean the site which I bought through one of the on-line pharmacy’s on Amazon.

Whether it makes any difference or not I don’t know, and I’d suspect it varies from person to person! I used to change my needles once or twice a week I guess and certainly didn’t faff on a pen but I do on the pump as Its one less thing to worry about. Unlike my pen the infusion set is in me for three days and by the end of the third day its sore (not painful & horrid) but sore and a little red which I guess is a sign that the old defective immune system is having to ward off nasties.

In terms of time, its an extra minute I guess for me to wash hands & swab.
