Lothian Diabetes Representative Group

By | 7 October, 2009

As everyone knows, all the cool kids go to the annual(ish) Lothian Diabetes Representative Group’s annual conference. This year it’s being held at Napier Craiglockhart Campus in Edinburgh on Saturday 31st October 2009.

There’s a bunch of workshops (some of which look quite interesting), some discussions and some speeches (some of which look quite dull). For a crisp tenner you get all this along with a slightly disappointing lunch. What could be better? I’ll be going and if you are too drop me an email and we can sit at back and heckle with all the other cools kids. Yay!

You can download a booking form and if you have any queries about said conference  you can email Bonnie, who’s been lumbered with getting emails about it from the great unwashed, at Bonnie.Crichton@luht.scot.nhs.uk

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Tim.
I quite want to go, just have to see about getting out of work for it though.

@Melissa It’s on a Saturday – so, unless you work on a Saturday, you should be fine. If, however, you are working on Saturday, just say you’ve, uhm, got a dentist’s appointment or something. 😀

Unfortunately I only work at the weekends. I just started a new job two weeks ago, so I don’t know their policy on surprise dentist appointments :]

Tim, do you have to be resident in Lothian to attend? This sounds like it may be worth going to.

@Aileen Last time I went they didn’t have guards with orders to shoot on site if you came from outwith the Lothians. This year might be different though – I saw them building wooden watchtowers on the university campus last week.

The last one certainly was pretty interesting – as always, it’s the chat that’s the best bit.

@Tim Cheers Tim! 🙂 I think my friend Mary (fellow iPAG’er) and myself will come along… if we can dodge the watchtowers, we’ll see you there!
