NHS Technology Adoption Centre gives thumbs up to pumps

By | 10 February, 2011

Diabetes UK reports that “A new online guide which could make insulin pump treatment more available for people with Type 1 diabetes in the UK has been the focus of a parliamentary briefing this week.”

The guide “aims to provide practical guidance to enable the successful implementation of insulin pump therapy and to release the benefits a pump service can bring. The guide has been specifically designed to save you time, improve patient outcomes and enhance overall productivity. It will be beneficial to Trusts who currently provide, or plan to provide, an insulin pump therapy service.”

This dog thinks that providing health care providers and patients with business cases for pump provision is a very good idea, so gives this the thumbs up (well, I would if I had hands, rather than paws).
