The modern and advanced Shoot Up forums

Hello you; yes, you! I’m referring to you, dear reader. Are you an avid fan of Shoot Up (and, frankly, who isn’t?) and do you enjoy reading our articles and forums? I hope so.

If you haven’t already, have you considered setting up an account and chipping in with your two-pennethworth in the comments section or on the forums? Shoot Up already has an erudite, well informed and interesting band of regular contributors (well, sometimes they are) and we’d like you to join in with the unending misery too. As well all know, everyone’s diabetes ;

    Hello, I’m here and I’m an avid fan. And I’m sure I would be even if I didn’t write half the blog πŸ˜‰

    So I havent left any comments for a while – what with being pregnant and diabetic I barely have any skin left on my fingers to be able to type! So that would explain my absense for a while, always an avid reader anyway – I actually sent Alison’s blog about CGM and Pumps to my diabetic team at the Royal Free!

    Anyway, as this is a bit of a free for all I wanted to share some good news with fellow pancreatically challenged people as no-one else will really appreciate it. I had a CGM fitted for a week a few weeks back, it was very exciting except it was a very old one and I couldnt see the results but they had to be downloaded. Anyho, my team at the hospital have just told me that the results were the best they have ever seen on a pregnant diabetic – go me!!!

    Its been bloody hard work and there are still 2 months to go, happy to talk to anyone who is thinking/is already with child and wants to know more about the challenges of pregnancy and diabetes.

    Sorry for hogging this blog, but needed somewhere to share!!!

    Keep up the good work

    Hi Sam, great to hear from you. It sounds like the pregnancy’s going well and I’m incredibly proud that one of our readers is the best pregnant diabetic at the Royal Free!

    @Sam – good luck with the bump – sounds like you’re doing a great job at looking after the two of you… been there, done that, got a cute (well, sometimes!) little boy.. only got to 32 weeks, so hang in there! Likewise, if anyone wants to compare notes, happy to share the details (and the “fun” of fertility treatment too!) – such a saint with what I’ve gone through!! ha ha – we diabetics do like to be different/trouble (or is that just me?)
